The last two champions in the Top Fuel class of the NHRA Full Throttle series will not be driving this season for the championship. I'm not sure when the last time that occured or if its ever happened, but regardless, we're left with a more wide open field heading into...

Morgan Lucas raced to the No. 1 qualifying spot in Top Fuel on Saturday in a rain-shortened session in the NHRA Winternationals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona. On Feb. 21, it will be two years since Antron Brown and Susan Zimmer never met and became joined forever. It was Brown's 200th-something National Hot Rod Assn. event, Zimmer's first.
